I have to admit it we are those stereotypical gushing parents who are completely gaga over their newest addition. On at least a weekly basis we look at each other and say "We are <span style="font-style: italic;">parents</span>." As if to remind ourselves that this is real and not some crazy dream.<br />Life is zooming by at break neck speed. My days all run together because rather than thinking ahead from day to day I think ahead from feeding to feeding and pumping to pumping.<br />I find myself saying things that scare me like, "why do I feel so gross I just showered yesterday right...or was that they day before?" or "I just did a load of diapers yesterday how are we on the last one already?" (Kayden has only had to go without a diaper once while the load was finishing up in the drier! And bless that boy he didn't pee or poop while he waited!)<br />But in the midst of this fast paced crazy life that I was thrust into on September 17th, 2010 I am trying very best to enjoy every moment. Every smile he makes at me melts my heart. Jesse says he is going to be a lady killer! And of course it happened while Jesse was gone camping with the Zimels! So we called Dr. Mira and went to see her at their amazing flip house! I started it before I got a gmail/google account. In the meantime I have set up a gmail account and all is fine and dandy except for the fact that they won't let me use my new gmail account as my primary email on my blogger account!!! If I want my gmail account to be my primary email on blogger I will have to create all new blogs!!!! It is so frustrating! If anyone knows of a way to fix this problem please let me know!!! I have done four sittings so far all for senior pictures. Through these senior pictures I have had many requests for other pictures such as maternity portraits, family portraits, etc. It is all very exciting and in the midst of all the excitement I broke my toe! It was a horrible sight to be seen it looked completely unnatural. It was and still is horribly painful! And on top of all of that I now have some kind of viral infection that has resulted in my running a temperature of 101.4 for the last two days, which you can only imagine makes a broken bone feel much worse. <br /> Tonight thanks to my newly filled prescription of vicodin I was able to work on this blog and the new one I set up purely for my photography. He was pacing around and dragging his back legs behind him. Then he threw up all of his dinner. He really had me freaked out so I called the emergency vet clinic to see what they thought. They told me that is sounded like a slipped disk in his spine and to crate him for the night and then take him to a vet in the morning. So that is what we did. Jesse took Cooper to the vet yesterday morning and they confirmed with x-ray that he does have a slipped disk. Luckily it is only minor so the treatment is anti-inflammatory drugs and being crated for two weeks.<br />I feel so bad for him, being stuck in his crate all day except for when he has to go the bathroom. And then after the two weeks we have to keep him from jumping on things or off of things and jumping in general. If that isn't an impossible task I don't know what is! Cooper is like a mexican jumping bean. I mean, we are talking about the dog that jumps on the coffee table and on the couch and even finds a way to get up on an ironing board! He hasn't been the ideal patient either. After a sleepless night (literally sleepless!) Now he is on pain killers, anxiety medication, and has to wear an buster collar. The poor boy! And for those of you who don't know what a buster collar is I took some pictures! lol! She is so sweet and Jesse is so good with her! I had so much fun going out and buying pink clothes for her. It is not fair that Jesse gets to be there in Round Rock and I have to be here in A-Town. We started our walk around 8:30pm I wanted to make sure that she was good and tired by the end so she would sleep and not bother me that night. So after about half hour of walking and taking random turns on random streets in the neighborhood I realized that I was completely lost and it was completely dark out. I started guessing my way back to the house I finally started to recognize some of the streets when a car (what I thought was a car) came speeding toward me without its lights on. I thought for sure I was going to be raped and murdered so I decided to hide behind a car that was parked on the side of the road. As the speeding car with no lights got closer I saw that it was actually a golf cart and as I realized that I was shot in the back with a sprinkler. Soaked and totally freaked out I finally made it home an hour and a half after we started on what was supposed to be a nice little walk. Daisey and I both drank a ton of water and collapsed in the living room I thought I might have killed her the way she was panting. Now I have to take out the trash, check the mail, get the oil changed in the car, fill the tires when the pressure gets low, get rid of dead birds that show up on our porch, kill spiders in the bathroom.....all these things he did for me and I took for granted. I appreciate him more now that he is gone than I did while he was here. I, being the huge arachnaphobe that I am, freaked out and started screaming! Jesse of course was out of town the one day that my life is in great danger. So I called my mom. She tried to help me calm down. It helped having her on the phone. I got the kitchen cleaner and sprayed it. It started scrambling, which made me freak out even more. I kept spraying it until it was in a ball and then I obliterated it with Jesse's flip flop until it was no longer recognizable as a spider. I have never set foot in a country club before so this was all new to me. We signed in and found some chairs to put our stuff on. Immediately Sam wanted to shoot hoops in the kiddy pool. I made myself comfortable sitting on the side of the 2ft deep pool watching Sam make baskets and cheering him on. After about 15min a thin, tan, blonde girl came up to me and asked if i would like any water or tea. I said some water would be nice and in a minute she was back with a cup of water, lid and straw included! It made me feel like high society. So he decided that we should get a pet. After discussing it for a while and doing a lot of research we decided that we would wait until after I graduate before buying one. The day after we made this decision a baby bird showed up on our doorstep. After looking for the nest and being unsuccessful we decided to take it in. I told Jesse that it was like God had just delivered us a free practice child. So the little fledgling came to live in our quest bathroom. We are pretty sure that it was a female grackle, well at least that is what Jesse said. As I was working around the house I could hear her "talking to herself" in the bathroom so I decided she should be named Gabby the Grackle. So, Gabby made herself at home. Jesse went and got dog food for us to dissolve and feed her with an eyedropper. The first feeding seemed to be a success. We set alarms so that we would remember to feed her every 3-4 hours as we had researched. But despite our efforts Gabby to the big birds nest in the sky sometime between her 1am and 5am feeding. It has been so nice to have him home in the evenings without having to worry about distracting him from his studies with my inability to keep quiet when there is another warm body in the room. However, when he graduated he "walked lacking hours," which is a fancy way of saying they are still going to make you pay for one more course even though it has absolutely nothing to do with your degree. So as of June 2nd Jesse has started his online course on educational psychology. What does this have to do with Business Marketing you ask... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! But it is the only online course offered during summer one so we are paying the thousands of dollars so that they will mail Jesse his diploma. Anyway back to may original train of thought. The month of may was nice not worrying about bothering him and now I have to be good and bite me tongue for another month. He now calls me "my ninole" which we have figured is his way of saying "my nicole" so I now call him "my sam." Whenever I call him my sam he laughs and says, "ha, ha, my sam." We were making play dough worms the other day and whenever the press would get stuck he would say, "uh-oh my ninole!" Smoothies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have even gotten my mom to make them, which if you know my mother you know it is no simple task. My mom does not like to try new things. So yesterday I guided her from 2000 miles away step-by-step how to make a smoothie! It was so cute! She successfully made her smoothie and said it was delicious, she sounded quite surprised!
